Securities

Capsys provides sophisticated securities applications for financial institutions. These applications serve as tools for collecting a large portion of savings from both retail and corporate clients.

There has been a significant new trend in the savings patterns of countries in Central and Eastern Europe: as inflation pressures are on a declining trend, and with it deposit interest rates, retail and corporate savings are looking for alternative ways to invest in instruments with higher returns. Yields in securities historically exceed deposit interest rates, and these trends seem valid also in the CEE region. In Central Europe, especially in Poland and Hungary, significant wealth has accumulated in securities: assets in mutual funds reach EUR14.5 billion in Hungary and EUR26.2 billion in Poland. Financial analysts have forecast 30-40% growth for the coming 3 to 5 years. Markets with the highest volume growth potential include Romania, Russia, and Ukraine, while the leading countries of Central Europe will still see continuing growth. (as of 30th June, 2008)

Capsys is a specialist in CEE securities business with experts from the business, as well as from IT.

Our applications:

Capsys Zeus®
Capsys Zeus is a comprehensive, all-inclusive securities administration and distribution system designed for financial institutions, such as banks, brokerage firms, and fund management companies.

Capsys Zeus covers the entire spectrum of securities activities from traditional client servicing front ends in branches, through alternative channels such as Internet, IVR, or Call Center, to the back-office or operations workflows. Business areas supported: Securities Trading, Custody, Securities Back-office, Securities Front-office, Vault, Administering Corporate Events.

The application was designed with keeping the continually changing business environment in mind: changing parameter sets is easy and fast, adapting the system to support new products or new procedures is a straightforward process.

Capsys Minerva®
As the name suggest Capsys Minerva is a cutting edge, skillfully designed and creative front-office application developed for financial institutions, such as banks, brokerage firms, financial agents and fund managers. The main functionality is the mutual-fund and other securities distribution through financial intermediates (agents) and branches of global or regional players of commercial banks. It serves as a tool for servicing clients who visit branches to carry out financial and securities transactions. Its main function is to present the functionalities and services of back-office systems, like core banking or securities applications such as Capsys Zeus.

Complete, off-the-shelf system
The application meets complex legal and process requirements and can be tailored to meet most business needs through parameter settings
Full securities administration functionality from orders, through trading, to allocation, cash administration, securities backed bankcard, administering corporate actions.
Complete back office and front office support
ZeusOnline for web based online trading

Capsys Zeus has been designed to enable efficient operations
Complete securities account administration for client and proprietary accounts
Highly automated processes have been built into the system to promote efficiency and to reduce risk.
The application keeps efficiency in focus. Here is one example: entity based core data administration. For every person or legal entity only one entry into the application is necessary. Different parameters can be turned on for different roles of them, like a person can be a client, a user of the application, a proxy, an heir, just to name a few, and there is no multiple entities for him in the core data.
The application is very stable as it is optimized for high transaction environments, and as such is a Six Sigma quality application
Upon implementation existing process redundancies are eliminated by the application.

Reducing operational risk
Capsys Zeus was made to enable prudent operations:
Closed system, closed processes: only authorized and authenticated users are allowed to access the system, and only through screens that lead them through the workflow.
Traceable and reportable processes and balances: all processes and balances are recorded, no information is lost.
The application does not allow data manipulation without an audit-trail
Multi level user administration: operating system- , database-, and application level user access rights administration ensure that users have access to the functionality necessary for carrying out their individual tasks (less privilege).
All user activities are logged for complete and unalterable audit trail.
         Reducing human error
Automated processes have been created for efficiency as well as to reduce the chances of human error.
Data control (value, syntax) functionalities are built into Zeus for validating data accuracy
Separate analytical and general ledger systems: Capsys firmly believes that mixing analytical and general ledger functionalities is inefficient. One of the many arguments we make, is that separate analytics and general ledger accounting allows for consistency and accuracy control.
